The second day in Paris we started late à la France. Got up at 9:30, had a shower and brekkie and left just before 11. We went straight to Arc de trioph. The queue wasn't too bad. Arc de Triomph is way taller than I did remember it. It's very pretty. The view is great aswell. But probably the pictures I took say more than 1000 words. The next stop was Eiffel Tower. There the queues were heaps longer. To walk up the stairs (with the back pack -.-) we queued up for about 2 hours. Even on the 2nd platform we had to queue for the elevator up top. Up there it was amazing though. We had Champagne in weird cone cups for 10 euro each o.O and it was all cliché and that. The view was great aswell - it is such a huge city (I mean 14 metro lines!!) After Eiffel tower it was already 4.30. We still wanted to go to the Catacombes (especially Sam) because they were closed yesterday. But last entrance was at 4 pm. So Sam was very disappointet. So the last thing we did in Paris was visit the Louvre. It was so sunny that in the entrance area where you buy tickets - which is directly under the big glass pyramid - you had to wear sunnies. We said Sam was citizen of the EU so we both got in for free. We looked at Mona Lisa. It is still crap haha. And at Napoleon's apartments (they're such a waste!) and at some sculptures and drawings. Then we went back to the train station to have dinner and catch our night train (with beds this time) to Saint Jean de Luz. Au Revoir Paris! <3
