Bienvenue a Paris! Today was a busy day in Paris. After a noisy night at Hotel Clarisse (kids firing fireworks till 1 am) and putting away our stuff in lockers, we went to have lunch in Luxemburg park. It was a really sunny day and the park was nice and green. Then we went to Notre Dame. It was pretty warm outside and the fact that it was on an island was romantic. But on the inside it wasn't as impressive but still beautiful. I also broke my sunnies as I went to bend over in order to not be in a person's photo. I stepped on them 😞. After Notre Dame we went to see Sainte Chapelle, which is close to Notre Dame and right next to the Court of Justice so we had to go through a security check. There are so many Americans in Paris it was crazy! The chapel was very beautiful inside, especially the windows upstairs. After the chapel we went to the Invalides (military museum). It was 'Bastille Day' (French National holiday) so there was a big fair outside the front of it. We went inside the museum aswell. Afterwards we crossed that fancy bridge
out the front of it. We also bought drinks cos it was so hot! Our next stop was Sacre Cour. It was a massive track uphill especially because I was carrying the bag with all our stuff in it for the night and the next day. But the streets of Monteparnarse (or something rather) were very narrow and cute and the view from up there was fantastic. The church was also ok from inside but I again liked it better from the outside. Down the hill again I bought new sunies and a Paris badge. The black guys sell Eiffel tower key rings, 3 for one euro. One of them said 'I got bling bling, sexy lady!'. It was funny. Two black men started knitting wristbands for us (probably cos they wanted to steal something out of our pockets while they were talking to us) but then police must've been close cos they randomly said we should walk away. My guy was quicker so he'd already finished my wristband so I got it for free 😊. For good luck. At least he said so. After this experience we went to Moulin Roughe - but just to take photos of it
as a show would have been something like 200 euro. And then we finally went to the hotel: Hotel Duret in Rue Duret, about 400 meters away from Arc de Triomph. It was the 14th (so 1 year and 5 months since Sam and I had been together) and Sam paid for the room and dinner <3. The room was nice and decent but too small for the price. But I guess that's Paris 😊. We went out for dinner just nearby which was very tasty and didn't cos too much. And I even got wine! Back at the hotel Sam made a really good foam bath (like in the movies) - it was so relaxing after a day like that. And then at around 10 pm we finally left to walk (!) to the Eiffel tower (about 30 mins) because there were going to be huge fireworks for Bastille Day. The crowd of people was about one and a half km from (around) the tower so we could only see the top end of it and the fireworks. There were so so so so many people! On our way back we got Pepsi Coke! Yum! Good Night.
