We ventured out on our last night in Paris to see the 2 major landmarks at night, The Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower, and it was worth the effort.

The Champs-Elysees was buzzing and around the Arc de Triomphe we took in this huge monument by night. The floodlights bring out details in the intricate stonework near the top as light and shadow cast a new aspect on the work. The eternal flame below the Arc burns more brightly at night and this adds to the spectical.

At night the Eiffel tower takes on a magical and more impressive view. With lighthouse like searchlights beaming out from the top and a wonderful golden glow, we joined hundreds of people in marvelling at this wonder from Trocadero across the Seine. If you come to Paris, you have to take the time to see the Eiffel Tower both by day and by night.
