You haven't mentioned much about the difference between caravaning and camping...
but did see that you had to set up camp in the rain. When we first moved to Europe, we bought a tent and went camping in the Netherlands. It was raining the day we had to pack up the tent, and that was such a miserable experience that, given the probability of rain in Northern Europe, we never went camping in Europe again. We did camp in Minnesota years later, and again it rained. I hope the weather cooperates for you!

Weather and tenting
The weather is improving daily as we go further south, although the nights are still bitter - more clothes in bed and out! We have only had one real problem with the rain where we started to pitch, it was pouring and we found rock under the first cm of grass, end result we shoved everything back in Oliver and drove very quickly to another site. We are missing the comforts of Georgie but we do get up better in the morning! We will try to add more on the differences for us in the future blogs.
