Eugenie les Bains

Finally we have met up with Luke and met his lovely 'petite amie' Isabelle. We are staying with them in their apartment in Eugenie les Bains. It is a quiet and picturesque village 2 hours from Bordeaux. The town is centred around the chateau's and restaurants of Michel Guerrard. After Paris it is so peaceful, our days consist of driving around the countyside visiting chateaus, drinking wine, visiting bistros or chocolatiers, we have all "grossir" here.
It is just like old times for Elliott and Luke even though it has been three years since they saw each other.
Isabelles parents made us very welcome at their farm, after sharing a great meal of home made fois gras, lamb and duck, the language barrier was forgotten.
I am having plenty of practice speaking french, I find drinking wine helps a lot. Elliott is able to charm his way through any conversation.
The french countryside is beautiful, Luke and Isabelle have made us very welcome, it will be hard to say goodbye.
