eight-day tour

hey guys! i got into denmark safely, and have had a great 3 weeks thus far. copenhagen is surprisingly small and mostly made up of old architecture within the city, but this last week has been the best.

i just got back from an eight-day trip in finland and sweden. it was amaaazing, and there were a lot of "that's fake" moments.

here was my itinerary:
july 15- copenhagen to stockholm, sweden via bus ride and ferry. a night in the city turned out to be a night in a man-packed bar, led in by a group of guys who claimed they're in a snowboarding film...well my friends tried to convince me they were legit because they had flyers posted around town about them too, but i was still skeptical.

july 16 - stockholm to turku, finland via overnight cruise ship. there was a buffet with caviar, at least 7 different kinds of salmon and herring, and all you can drink wine and beer. the boat ride was dubbed the "boos cruise."

july 17-18 - helsinki, finland. stayed two nights in a hostel. pretty chill, and surprisingly similar to portland with lots of water, and an area

try saying the name. i can't read here.
like the park blocks.

july 20 - pori, finland. stayed at a hostel next to a sauna and a lake. after steaming up in the sauna, a nice jump in the cold lake a few steps away was the ongoing cycle of the night. throw in an open fire to grill some good food with shops of traditional finnish shnapps and you have yourself a party. =)

july 21 - back to stockholm, sweden on the "boos cruise." dancing, magicians, and more dancing.

july 22 - woke up at 7am to have breakfast at a bathhouse, followed by a trip to the hot baths, steam rooms, sauna, and pool. return to copenhagen on a 10-hour bus ride.

of course, each day was filled with architecture tours, and lots of forced sketching.

Happy Patty?
Hey Girl...Whatever happened to Party Patty?...That better be just some new nickname overseas...Lol...Seems like you're having an awesome trip in a different way compared to Chen's...As long as you wear your sweaters and jackets everyday like the "man" said, then it's ok...Enjoy the rest of your time in Europe and we'll see you when you get back...Take cares and God bless
