Arrivel in Denmark

Crossed the Danish border today at 16:15 Clocking 280 Km. Have had exellent weather for the last 5 days apart from the fact that the wind was very strong the first three days , and mostly blowing in my face ,I,m not quite sure if the wind has really eased off that much or have i just become accostumed to it.
Found a nice Camping site in Husum-Ballum thanks to the
booklet from Wolfgang & Iduna Barelds in Stein Verlag which will help me a lot,I,m sure.
Cycling up through Dithmarschen and Northfriesland made me aware of the toil and hardship that was involved culturing these stretches of land, the fight, often lost,against the power of the North Sea is to be seen in the many old Dykes ,some of which did not withstand. The most interesting and beautiful part of the Coast is between Husum and Dagebüll , i find, because you are almost continually directly on the Coast and have great waterway inland which are populated with all sorts of wild Fowl.
