Dear All Greetings once more, my second of three blog entries on my lovely little trip to Denmark, reporting this time on my second full day there, on the Tuesday. After a full day exploring the tourist sights of Copenhagen, along with many other international tourists, I felt that on my second day I wanted to explore more provincial tourist attractions, hopefully more off-the-beaten track. The tourist crowds in Copenhagen weren’t overwhelming, though I’m sure they are in the summer, but I always feel I want to explore the “real” country when I visit a place. Time to get out of the city today. It is our first completely free day on our 3+ weeks of tour. Copenhagen has redeemed itself after the rubbish of the first day but we are a bit over the crowds, the dust and the heat. Having said that it is cooler and much more pleasant today. We jump on a local suburban train at Vesterbro station. Every ticket selling machine is broken which isn't a very good sign. We jump off at the next station because we have to change to another line (and get a ticket). The on-platform 7 eleven sells tickets and a 24 hour pass costs just under $20.
