NYHAVN
Boats and houses - canals everywhereDocked Copenhagen 8.,00a.m. Everywhere within the city was walking distance but we decided to do a loop on the Hop on Hop Off bus, then walked back to the city to see things a bit more leisurely. Copenhagen was 22 degrees today so perfect for a walk in this very cycle, walking friendly city - lots and lots of bikes (but not as many as Amsterdam). This would have to be one of the cleanest cities we have visited and the walk from the docks into the Stroget (main shopping and pedestrian malls) was just magic - so many gorgeous buildings along the waterfront. Caught the changing of the guard at midday at Fredrik and Mary's home. We then decided to take a water taxi for a bit of a tour around the canals - it was just lovely gazing at all the sites and beautiful boats along the way (very clean waterways). It sort of reminds you of Amsterdam with all the canals but much cleaner. There are no real sky scrapers in Copenhagen I think the highest building is about 10 stories and there is only a few of those - so that really adds to the whole charm

OLD STOCK EXCHANGE BUILDING
4 dragons tails twirled togetherof this gorgeous city but lots of parklands and water. We did not get to go to Tivoli Gardens, but that is what Walt Disney based his Disneyland on, as that would have been a few hours on its own - but is right in the middle of the city. Quite expensive city - but not as bad as what people tell you it is - though John did pay about $4 for a splice ice-cream. Had to drag myself out of the Georg Jensen shop - so many lovely things to buy. Great day had by all and now off to Oslo Norway.
