Princess' Birthday
Outside the royal families house with a guard. So Just got back from Copenhagen and well it was AMAZING!!!!! Had the time of my life. Caro and i caught the train from our cities after school one Friday, I departed from Holestebro ( 4 and a half hours from københavn) and Caro from Vejle ( 2 hours away from københavn). We arrived in København to be greeted by Neils who then showed us our hotel! May I add it was lovely before we were then treated to dinner out. We went to a steak house which was lovely and a different dining experience. It was nice to be able to act like tourists but also be treated as them having our whole weekend payed for. With out realizing it we chose steaks coting around $60 aud dollars, hahaha would have done dad proud!!!! And I ate it all :P, No worrying about getting fat because it's hard not to here in Denmark with the amount of bread consumed. After dinner we called it a night.
Up at 8am, which was a lovely sleep in for me compared to the 6am wake ups for skole. Breakfast was actually amazing, Caro and I had pancakessssss!!!! Omg how I miss those.
Street's of København.
The buildings of which are located in the are of Christiana. So we started our day off sight seeing and may I say the building and architecture is exquisite, If only I had a proper photography camera the shots would be better but my camera will do for now. It was the princess's birthday so marching bands filled the streets marching in sync and playing loud, in tune music. It made the town come to life, with Danes coming from left right and center to visualise the work and effort put into the day. Danish flags flying high all around København to show their respects for the royal family. We followed the cluster of in time band members all the way to the royal house where they played music for family. Our experience was cut short from the extreme cold for us Australians and the color of skin starting to turn blue. We ate lunch at a sandwich which is very Danish and it's when you get a plate with the topics for your sandwich and get given the bread so like its basically a roll pulled apart. hehe. It was rather nice. Lunch was over and Caro and I were given the choice between see Marie and Fred's home or
Neil's.
At Neil's house with Amanda the dog and Caro. catch the fairy over to Sweden. So of course us being tourists decided to go to Sweden for a while 😊
Neils invited us back t his house for dinner after we got back from Sweden which was lovely, Caro and I felt right at home there and loved playing with their pet dog Amanda. The evening drew to an end and we went back to our hotel. Morning came and it was up and at it ready for more Pancakes!!! Before the long train ride home for me. København was amazing and I can't wait to go back.
Heidi and Finn my host parents said that we will go back in the summer and do all the things I couldn't do in the winter with all the now. I am excited for that, it will be like a family vacation to Copenhagen, and also Neils has invited Caro and I back to København in the summer time for the 'newbies' who come in the summer for the 2 month stay people, to pretty much show them what its like and tell them about our time in Denmark. I can't wait. ts such a beautiful city.
Jeg skal gå.
