Short entry - but fun - make sure to check out the Italian entry - that's the latest one.

This past weekend - which started on Thursday - we spent in the sunshine on the barge in the beautiful Copenhagen harbour. I met with some people to arrange for them to rent the boat for a "Pecha Kucha" night http://www.pecha-kucha.org/ it sounds like its going to be a brilliant event with a marketplace in the harbour and really fantastic speakers projecting their twenty minute presentations on to the side of the boat.

Aside from that, we've been planning the "Submarine Party" http://halfmachine.dk/posts/153 a party to celebrate the launch of the world's largest civilian built submarine, by one of our own, Peter Madsen. It will be accompanied by the world's smallest submarine, the Sgt. Pepper and will be covered by National Geographic. We're having a party to celebrate, with light and sound installations and bartenders dressed as sailors and an orchestra playing the "Nautilus Overture" - specially made for the new submarine, which is of course, named the Nautilus. I'm in the midst of planning a lot of that right now which is fun and stressful in a good way.

This weekend we had another photoshoot for a magazine called Wonderland as apparently, our first photoshoot, hanging from a crane wasn't as good as the photographer hoped for and so this time we did the shoot standing on the submarine with the barge in the background. This is the smaller submarine - the Kraka. See photos. That was fun though I almost hit the water a few times as I thought it would be quite classic to do the shoot in my ever-present high heels. Beautiful but deadly. :P

Later that day I tore apart a Mac 20" monitor as I plan to make it into a back lit sign advertising our website. Mac products are essentially evil when it comes to taking them apart and it took me a lot of pulling and breaking plastic to realise that screws were hiding behind cleverly placed stickers. Dammit.

After this activity, one of our guys had rigged up a handicapped electric cart to pull a trailer. Four of us hopped on the back, and we went hunting for spare scrapyard parts to supply our building needs. It was quite amusing.

After that, we played with some new equipment, namely mixer boards that made it sound like I was dj-ing. :P We spent the remainder of the weekend working on a couple projects, the beginnings of my individual project, and the physical computing part of our bodily awareness project, currently entitled the Music Box. I made a proper brunch including eggs, oranges, fried tomatoes, bacon, and of course Bearnaise sauce and we ate in luxury overlooking the ocean. Electronics, Submarines, Breakfast overlooking ocean on massive boat...I can't complain. :D

Next up: Crazy party in Lund, its a yearly event, happening April 30th where Swedes celebrate the last day of spring by partying in a park from 9am until ...whenever. :D
