Still in a hotel Comfort Mayfair in Copenhagen as obv. finding accomodation not so easy til you get your bearings - so as I said we are near Red Light District which is fun to venture through & go to 'Spunk bar' (Spunk is a danish sweet!) & is a 'normal' bar for that neighbourhood - but at least we have a suite now for same price as an ordinary room (which was decent of the hotel) as we will be staying for a month in total here. The majority of hotels are based around there which a bit strange but its easy to avoid the RLD, in fact when I was in a hotel across the road last year with Mum we didn't even notice what was around the corner! It's all perfectly legal so safe to walk around.

Will hopefully sign lease on this furnished villa today or tomorrow but all rentals as so bloody dear so it's not been too easy so we were both involved in the searching. We can move in on 2nd Nov.

Click on the links down the right hand side starting with under Sagsnr: 151690 to see the rooms. We were tempted by unfurnished but then we started talking about flat screen tv's & we really don't need anymore stuff to have to ship when Oz time comes!

Job is mostly as I expected it to be well it's all ok so far. Permanent people only work 34 hours a week! Am in smoking gang - weird indoor smoking booths. Apparently there's a gym & massage parlour in basement too. People nice - they even say hello to you in the hall when they only met you once vaguely. Team leaders wife is Irish. And they all have similiar sense of humour to us - self depreciating & sarcastic in a good way. Although 1st day the manager had a 'Michael Bolton' t-shirt on -yuk- thankfully I kept my comments to myself as I later found out the girl I am working with is his long term girlfriend!

Weather nice but no a\c in office so can be hot in afternoon but finally it's a little colder today. Work is in a massive bloody building but can find kitchen, jacks, smoking booth & canteen now so all ok. Loads of organisation & bureaucracy & documentation but at least everything is in one place to look up easily. I start at 9am (but finish at 5pm which is good - I used to work 10-6.30/7) so I had to be up the 1st week around 7:30am to get 8:24am train - which is so not me! Then I discovered the 8.34 faster train so I get up at 8 now, more civilised. Trains super efficient but monthly ticket 106eur. Canteen here for cheap lunches but not much else is too cheap. Wine in restaurants is 100%!m(MISSING)ark up on supermarket - bizarre. Large Beers about 5eur & 33cl bottled beer cheaper(as it should be but isn't in Ireland which I never understood) . Dinner (w. starter & coffee). and a beer works out around 30eur each. Cigs around 4eur but someone just gave me 360 as they don't want them - wrong brand!

They are big into brunches so that's good at the weekend. We go for wander most evenings. Plus we were looking at apartments last week - got shafted on a great one so that was a big downer for a couple of days. Mind you if there's such a thing as the curse of the widows' child then that so called person is fecked. Also they don't shutter the shop windows & they are well lit up so window shopping when its quiet is fun actually. Went to art/sculputre gallery 'Glypotek' on Sunday which was great. Am getting to read a lot which is also great but then we saw they have up to date Eastenders too on BBC Prime! Never thought I'd say it but am fed up of eating out so can't wait to get into the villa.

Haven't been out to a club or gig yet but there's another good bar in red light called Luna which is full of South Americans & music which is very nice. But we'll be moving from Central to next neightbourhood up Fredriksberg (10 mins by train) so we'll have to find all new bars but they look good, if a bit trendy, up there. So that's it so far.
