After jumping on our train to Prague we sat down and began to settle in...before an inspector came up to us and asked for our tickets, I handed them over and he began speaking in a tone which, although I couldn't understand the language, didn't sound very pleasant! Thankfully somebody translated and alerted us to the fact that whilst we did have a ticket, apparently we needed a reservation for a seat as well!

So we got evicted from our chairs and told to find a chair which wasn't reserved and thankfully for us further up the train there was several empty seats and we definitely learnt from then on....RESERVATION RESERVATION RESERVATION!!

We arrived in Prague early in the evening and went to buy our train tickets to our next destination, this time we bought tickets with a reservation! Jaimee also read in the lonely planet guide that backpackers need to buy a half ticket each time they catch public transport and lucky we did because each and every time we caught public transport we got stopped by transit police who we think we just out there to get backpackers who didn't know they needed the extra ticket!

We made our way to our hostel and found it eerily empty! Turns out only 2 other people were staying in the hostel...again we asked..."why are we travelling in winter?!"...That evening we headed out to the town square for a couple of drinks and much to my disbelief my brand new memory card decided to malfunction! All my Berlin photos.....gone... I spent the rest of the night feeling annoyed!

The next morning we grabbed a map and headed out for a day of sightseeing. We both bought new memory cards and set off walking. We checked out Prague Castle (don't pay to go inside - its a rip off and nothing special) and the outside was beautiful. We checked out the jewish quarter, the new town, charles bridge, old town square and lots more.

We got back to the hostel to find that a couple more people had arrived so we all decided to go out for a few drinks!

The next morning we got up and again packed our bags before making our way to the train station to get our train to Vienna!
