Jaimee and I headed off early Saturday morning to Luton Airport to catch our flight to Berlin, which we literally almost missed.

We arrived to Berlin in the early evening and were greeted with a temperature of around 0 - at which point we thought for the first time of many, "why are we backpacking in winter!?". We caught the metro to our hostel and settled in before being roped into the pub crawl. We had a really fun night and the next morning awoke a little worse for wear but we soldiered on went on a walking tour of Berlin. The tour was with the same company (Sandemans) as the tour we did in paris and again it didn't disappoint. We got to see:

*Pariser Platz
*Brandenburg Gate
*The Reichstag
*The Holocaust Memorial
*Hitler's Former Bunker
*Berlin Wall
*Checkpoint Charlie

Plus heaps more...it was great but by the time we had finished (we weren't wearing our thermals and made an important mental note right then to wear thermals everyday for the rest of our trip!) we were freezing and made our way back to the hostel.

The next morning we got up and packed up to make our way to the main train station to catch our train to Prague.
