Hello my beloved followers. Well, this is my last night in Prague and it has been interesting. It definetly is a beautiful place, but I think I am just overwhelmed by the tourists. THe only language I have heard in 3 days in English. From the unintelligible English of the rowdy Irish in the Irish pub, to the little old British couples sipping their tea to the scores of Americans and Aussies. I dont' think there are any Czech people in Prague. Everyone I know said "oh the people are beautiful, you'll be amazed." Well that is a vicious rumor. This is land of the mullets. I really think its not their fault, I really think this country is stuck in the 80's (which is A-OK by me!!!). I think what happened is that they had no freedom throughout the 80's, until 1989, so they are just making up for lost time. For example, in 3 days I have heard 3 Pet Shops Boys songs, not even singles! And today at the restaurant I was at, the album playing was Depeche Mode 101. How much better can it get. Oh, by the way, they like "One Night in Bangkok" here too...along

Really appreciate Christmas
with "Big in Japan". I think they have yellow fever! Speaking of Bangkok, I just got a Thai massage. I was a little skeptical cause you have to go down this really shady hallway and up two flights of stairs to get to the place. And I wasn't sure which type of Thai "massage" this was...I think they are two different kinds...if you know what I mean. But this massage was the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Ok well, my brother's birth was good too, but honestly...I felt like a different person. The older woman was so strong and she was just flinging me around, smacking my back, arms, skull, with her fists, actually STANDING on me with her full body weight...and by the way, she weighed more than me. It was just so great. AHHHHH.... The highlight of Prague for me.

So the rest of my Prague stay consisted of wandering a beautiful park, stumbling upon a skate park on top of a hill. I wanted to borrow a skateboard, but the teens weren't too friendly. I also went on a tour of the city and became chummy with the tour guide who was able

at 6am with no tourists hooray
to offer insight into the Czech way of thinking. My favorite thing to do during my travels is to ask local people things that others are afraid to ask. I asked this girl why they never smile. She said quite frankly, we don't have much to smile about. Life is and has been quite hard. I asked my German friends what they were taught about WWII....I wouldn't recommend this question to everyone. I just love hearing about what is important to the people and how they feel about Americans. Which by the way is absolutely unanimously anti-Bush. In fact, an aussie last night was forcing me to talk politics and to give him my viewpoints on everything. For those who know me, I NEVER talk politics, even at home! Much less to come out here to defend the US. SO it's been interesting.

Other than that I think i have eaten at:
A) A cajon place
B) McDonald's
C) A mexican Place

Does this give you any idea of just how touristy this place is.

Oh I did wake up at 5:50 am to go check out the Charles Bridge before the tourist woke up. That was really nice.

SO just during this update I learned a new tip for any future travellers. Don't ever accidentally kick the reset button on the computer because all the prompts are in whatever country's language, and you WILL NOT FIGURE IT OUT! hahaa. I may need to put together a tip section of this blog. It could be helpful.

Ok well its getting late and I think some Absinthe is calling my name so Adieu for today....yesss! tomorrow i get to speak german again in Austria! woohooo!

Pictures will come later when I can find a place that supports it.

Don't Ask Stupid Questions.
You are the reason so many American men have moved to Prague and married Czech girls.
