Croatian inspiration

Louise here, we went to an amazing national park (called Plitvice national park) in northern Croatia yesterday which inspired me to write a poem. Enjoy!

Colours.
Blue. The colour of the vast expanse of sky overhead.
White. The colour of the spray cascading down from the dizzy heights of the towering waterfalls.
Green. The colour of the lush foliage covering the ground like a crisp leafy carpet.
Copper. The colour of the nimble fish darting in and out amongst the reed beds.
Scarlet. The colour of the beautiful bold flowers framing the chalets tucked away in the valley.
Turquoise. The colour of the iridescent lakes with water so clear and still you can peer down into the depths and see every detail of the tranquil underwater Kingdom below.
Yellow. The colour of a happy heart as I explore the wonders of this natural landscape with the friends that I've made here.
