Bye Bye Croatia

With our two days sunning oursleves in Zadar gone, it was time to move on up the coast and away from the beautiful Croatia. Our original plan, which we dreamed up the night before we left Zadar, was to bus through to the Slovenian coast for a couple of days extra in the sun...but for some bizarre reason to get a bus from Croatia to anywhere in Slovenia you have to go through the capital city (which is miles inland). So weird, so we flagged that idea!!

With the Slovenian coast out of the question we drove literally right by it and stayed in Trieste, about twenty miles north. This really isnt a touristy town we found out and there wasnt much to draw tourists to it.

On the one full day we had there we spent it wondering the streets and planning the rest of the trip we had left before we meet our top deck crew. We did however find a fantastic castle to explore but not much else to report here. No beaches and no sunshine......

Time to move on to Lake Bled.....
