Nous avons décidé de commencer notre séjour par la visite d'une des iles Elaphites: Lopud. Cela s'est révélé être une excellente idée, nous avons tout de suite eu l'impression d’être en vacances! Nous avons choisi Lopud car les horaires de ferry étaient faciles et pratiques. On a pris la compagnie Jadrolinija, qui je crois, est la seule qui va dans les iles Elaphites. Le bateau partait du port de Gruz (Dubrovnik) à 9h30 et pour le retour du port de Lopud à 17h55. Le trajet dure environ 1h. Ce qui nous a amplement laissé le temps sur place de voir ce que nous voulions et de profiter des paysages splendides et de la plage. Par beau temps, le trajet en bateau se fait sur une mer d'huile. I thought I'd write a quick blog because it just wouldn't be fair on the cool places I seen during the end of July and first half of August. Believe it or not, travelling can be hard work and I get busy and blogging can often slip my mind. It feels like forever ago now, but I must at least give you the highlights. I spent some time just hanging out in London catching up with friends. Was great to see Bree and gossiped for what felt like 48 hours straight. I took a trip to Nottingham and spent another few days gossiping with my friend Wendy from my retreat in Peru! I chilled in Slovenia, it was so hoT! Lopud Island has many sandy beaches and shallow waters. Historically there was a shipyard that housed 80 ships, that were apart of the Dubrovnik Republic's Navy. While I am there, I will enjoy the sandy beaches and play picigen, which is a form of volleyball, played in the shallow waters. I will also visit the hotel that holds painting, sculpture and photo exhibits, learning about art in Croatia.... read more
