Obitelj... Today was our last day in Croatia. We met for breakfast in our hotel at 9. From there we headed to the shortest funicular railway in the world as we made our way to Gornji Grad. We visited St. Mark' Church and the area where Matej Gubec was executed in 1573. We then made our way through the Old Stone Gate and eventually to the Dolac Market. It is like no other market I have seen. Although the Split market is quite large, i don't think there was anything this larger market didn't have. We loaded up on jabuke, maline, jagode, i kupine. Some also bought some decorative jewelry boxes.
From there we made our way to the Cathedral. Shockingly, it is still under construction. I don't think I have been here when it was not being worked on. Maybe next time?? after some soccer jersey shopping, it was back to the hotel for some rest and then to a new restaurant (to us) for supper: the Vinodol. Fish, beef steak, strudel, lamb, čevapćići, stuffed hamburger, filet mignon, chicken and various soups were ordered. We also finally got to meet up with Domagoj, Martina and Luka! It was great to

Downtown Zagreb. finally see them. Lena and Lea stayed behind so it was unfortunate we missed them this time. It was a visit that was way too short, but it was great to see them again.
After supper, we were off to a stroll though Cvjetni Square and finally back to our rooms. It'll be an early morning tomorrow as we will be leaving the hotel shortly after 6 am. Spending time now getting dad all organized and packed up for the morning. Should be the last night watching him wrestle with the anaconda known as his CPAP hose for a while. Thought about putting a pic on here so everyone gets this visual, but i don't think he would appreciate that! He was quite talkative tonight and he is finally settled in.
Laku noć!
