Dear All Greetings once more. This is my third and final blog entry for my pre-Christmas mini trip to the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It was a lovely end to my lovely little trip exploring more of these British Isles, coming to realise that Great Britain, although the largest, is certainly not the only island in this beautiful corner of the world. The British Isles have so much to offer. We hope to get to Orkney one day. Amazing etchings on the tomb. I love howling wind and loved your descriptions. The museum sounds terrific. Travel is full of education. Your timing at Gatwick was perfect. Travel On.... next stop... California.

What a history
Very interesting trip you had Alex, to such a beautiful area. Your plan to visit more islands sounds great. What a history the islands had with the German occupation - the museum sounded very interesting. Re the "boxing day dip" we have something similar called the Polar Bear Swim, in many cities in Canada, every New Year's Day. This year was the 100th anniversary of the Polar Bear Swim in Vancouver!

History
Thank you Lori ? Indeed, a fascinating history the Channel Islands have, I agree. Wow, the Polar Bear Swim sounds amazing! Not sure I would do it myself, though I'm sure it's quite a spectacle to see!

Great Review!
Alex, I've really enjoyed reading your blogs about your travels in the Channel Islands. All 3 of your blogs have been interesting, informative and detailed so thanks for the great tour. They give us a good idea of all that can be seen there in the off season, and your photos are excellent. If we ever visit Guernsey, I'd think I'd very much enjoy visiting the Germany Occupation Museum. Looking forward to your next travel blogs, from wherever you're going!

Channel Islands
Yay, thank you so much for your lovely comments, and for being able to read all three blogs. I very much enjoyed my short time in Guernsey, and it's nice to hear the write-ups did the islands justice! I have a few more trips planned this year, I'm looking forward to them very much. Also looking forward to reading more about your travels in Morocco! ?
