The Official Story
A sign at the bottom of the hill This has become one of my favourite sites due to the nature of the rock carving. Walking around the site it made me feel like I was at an ancient processing plant with channels cut into the rocks for liquid to run from one hole to another. There were obvious shapes that I think had a mechanical purpose, you simply need to look at the photos or better still visit the site.
There was obvious layers in the sites history demonstrated really well by the different types of doorway and there were also signs of rock shaping in the steps that were carved into the boulders.
Definately requires further investigation.
I came across the site on a cycle from Turkey to Croatia and spent 16 days in Bulgaris, please click below for details of my trip
