Ive worked two nights here in Weiner Neudstadt and its good. The complete opposite of the pub in London.

Here are some of the differences:
We get to keep our tips
We can drink anything (including alcohol - something that was strictly forbidden in London)
When the customers buy us drinks we are expected to drink them (so by the end of the night you can be very tipsy, if not drunk)
We dont mop the floor 3 times - in fact we dont mop at all
Closing takes 15 minutes, not 1hour
The barmen get to decided when we close - so it can be anywhere between 2am and 6am
You can smoke behind the bar
You can talk to the customers - in fact, you have to.

But despite all the plus's I dont know if Im going to stay long - Ive realised that Ive done this job before and its the same in every country. Also Im still in the travelling mood.

Im sharing a flat with 3 others and it is an absolute mess - the kitchen doesnt look like its been cleaned in over a month, the bathroom is gross and there are plates and glasses all over the lounge. But its big and there is a lounge and kitchen with all the necessities so its liveable. One of the girls is going to clean tomorrow coz her parents are coming to stay.

I'll let you know how it goes...
