CHEEESE! You can smell the cheese from outside the shop!
On day three we all woke up really early so we could get the most of our day since our bus left at 5:00pm. We ate breakfast, put our backpacks in the storage room in the hostel, checked out, and left for the fresh air market. It was a really cool sight... stands everywhere from cheap scarfs, to fresh meats and vegetables, to spices and fake name brand stuff. And best of all.. they gave free samples! I was good and didn't buy much- just a few food items and a scarf. Then we went to the Hapsburg Palace. It is HUGE! First we all laid in the grass in the Palace garden. We were so tired from the past two days- all the walking and traveling.. I think we were a pretty funny sight, just laying there in the grass like beached wales! Then we split up.. Some of us wanted to go into the palace and others just wanted to hang out in the city. I chose to go into the palace because I just took a class and the Hapsburgs were a big part so it was interesting to me. The tour showed their collection of silver and

the royal apartments where Francis Joseph I and his wife Elisabeth lived. After the palace, we headed towards the hostel, and stopped for our last cup of Viennese coffee. It was another really old place but it wasn't as good as the previous one. When we got up to leave, an old Austrian woman came up to me and said "I studied in England, but I could not understand a word you were saying with your American accents!" We went back to the hostel, met with the other girls, got our stuff out of the storage room, and headed towards the bus station. It was a great trip.. we packed a lot in!

The builder thought that straight lines were a sin, so there is not a straight line in the whole apartment. Even on the inside!
