Christmas morning began with another church service (our second of three). This was in Bad Aussee which is the larger part of the village. The church was St Peter and Paul's. Another beautiful service, chilly, ancient, divine music, including yodelling. It really must be noted that this was nothing like I expected, Austrian yodelling is a sweet, soprano song, very elegant and graceful and slow. It was as if there were angels in the rafters (the choir is above the congregation).

We then went home to set up the new train set around the tree. We teased Alfred's cat, Michy with the digital forwards and backwards options.

We then left for a walk through the local village and had a couple of drinks at the Kalssneck, a pub with a curling lane. (Curling is a game played on a frozen strip of ice kept smooth for sliding the eisstock down them - similar in a way to Boules). A lovely walk home in the dark and schnee.
