Altausseersee

Our last traditional church visit, this time in the church where Thomas' parents were married. Old and traditional except for a rock grotto built into the back to hold the alter. A very detailed crucifixion scene, but a lovely nativity scene (a different one in every church at Christmas and a bit of a competition for the local carpenters including Thomas' father, Alfred.)

A fifteen kilometre walk around Altausseersee, a beautiful lake mirroring the mountains and trees surroundling it. Breathtaking, and I will add photos soon.

Home to prepare for a violin performance by Thomas' little cousins. Too many champagnes and red wines and a dreadful hangover since years in the morning.
