Recognize this trellis? Watch the Sound of Music during the DoReMe song. They run through it at one point.
Salzburg is gorgeous!! Home of the film Sound of Music and Mozart's birthplace. The leaves are changing colors and the many lakes complete the perfect scenary. Went on an ultra touristy S.O.M. tour (yes, and I also saw Riverdance in Dublin). I saw all the places they filmed the movie and, randomly, the headquarters of Redbull energy drink. Interesting stuff. The RB headquarters are in a small town outside of Salzburg in the middle of no where. The lakes and town are incredibly beautiful here. I would highly recommend this place if you like peaceful towns with great architecture and history (and movie trivia : )
