On arrival at Hallstat it is teaming with Chinese tourists. It is almost impossible to visualise how many Chinese tourists are there and remember they are just the ones that make it to the real Hallstat. Gus who is not the most patient wants to hit the ski fields immediately. A quick check with reception and some amazing German bus timetable reading and we are on the 5 minute bus ride to Obertraun. Red and I decide to drink while Gus goes up the gondola and skis. On the way back his review of Obertraun is mixed. When we get back to Hallstat it is deserted. This Easter Jane, Adam, Myles and I headed to Austria for some snow action. And the snow did not let us down, I have never seen so much snow fall the Austrian country side was covered like icing on a wedding cake. Our first stop was Innsbruck, however we didn’t have much time there due to a small timing calculation that I managed to get wrong (however, I am still blaming the website!). We left our bags at the train station and at a brisk pace headed towards the old town. We were walking at a brisk pace due to the fact we only had an hour, plus it was snowing and freaking freezing.
