Local business' that made the trip happen:
Aventuras: San Juan, Puerto Rico
Taino Divers: Rincon, Puerto Rico
What drew me to Puerto Rico? Looking back on it, I'm not quite sure. It could have been the first time I heard about the bio-luminescent oceans, great diving, El Yunque(the only tropical rainforest in the... Read Full Entry
I grew up in a small town. I went to Uni. I started taking pictures afterwards in 2000. Several cross country road trips and 3 summers in the Sierra Nevada forced me to fall in love with the outdoors. In 2004 I began working full time, taking advantage of every free weekend and holiday while liquidating my yearly vacation for bigger trips to other countries. I especially love conifer forests and alpine mountains.
I'm currently taking pictures of Kids and Models, check out my Facebook page for details!

StormsEveryday, storm build as the land heats up and draws the humid air from the ocean.
Southern StormsThe storms reach biblical proportions, travelling from North to South. Here on the Southern side of Puerto Rico near Ponce, it is much drier because it is in the rainshadow of the Cordillera Central. But that doesnt stop the storms from making their presence known!
Karst CountryThis is the Karst Country near Camuy Caves and Areceibo. The sediment loaded rivers and Limestone cliffs were the most visually impressive part of Puerto Rico!
Canyoning El YunqueThe guides had us all swim to the base of the cataract.. it was ferocious! www.aventuraspr.com
Canyoning El YunqueThe top of the cataract... you travel along the cliff with footholds and handholds while connected with ropes while the waterfall thunders in the background. www.aventuraspr.com
Canyoning El YunqueThe only relief from the heat and sweat pouring from your skin is to get to the water and jump in! www.aventuraspr.com
Canyoning El YunqueAs part of teambuilding the guides convinced us we could all make it to the base of the falls. Here a guide waits to help as others make their way beneath the falls.
Canyoning El YunqueNobody could believe we all made it to the slippery, moss covered 6 foot rock ledge! I also went on their caving tour- hands down the cave trip is THE best trip I have ever been on.. unfortunately my camera broke on that trip and I lost the pictures... www.aventuraspr.com Highly recommended!
My Route My travels in Puerto Rico. I rented a Car and drove through as much of the Country as I could!
