The drive to Copan was so beautiful. It was very green.
We worked for a little while this morning, finishing the forms for the roof of the two new bathrooms for the church. We've run out of work time, but left $1000 for the church to use toward completing some of their building work. We also left Anual $200 to put toward his recent hospital stay and bills. It's frustrating to have to leave projects incomplete, but we are all very worn out and looking forward to our days of sight-seeing that are ahead. Today we made a 3 1/2 hour drive to Copan. Tomorrow we will see the Mayan Ruins and return to San Pedro Sula. When we got to Copan Javier told us that he had canceled our reservations earlier in the week (thinking that Bina who has difficulty with stairs might not be able to handle our hotel). We didn't arrive until 7pm, so we were uncertain of whether we would be able to get a room that night. After Javier spent some time of bargaining we ended up in the 3 most expensive rooms in the hotel (Presidential, executive, and honeymoon suites) for only a few dollars more. I was in the executive suite. It was the nicest

room I've ever stayed in. I felt a little guilty staying there without Greg -- but somehow I managed to live through that guilt!!
