Flores is great!

We spend the whole Saturday to relax and chill out by the lake, swimming occasionally and enjoying the sunshine. The kind of day we needed after being constantly on the road, travelling from one place to another.

However the next morning we still had to get up before 4am, we said bye to our past days company and caught the bus at 4.30 to Tikal, one of the biggest Mayan ruins. We arrived at around 6am and started a guided tour with tourists from all around the world.

Tikal is absolutely beautiful, located in the middle of a tropical rainforest. We have seen tarantulas, spider monkeys, parrots, rackoons, tucans, pheasants and other tropical creatures. Of course we climbed the highest Mayan temple again, from which we had a beautiful view over the rainforest.

We feel extremely sleepy and will catch the nightbus later on the Guatemala City.

Lots of love
