1. Day of the dead as been celebrated fro over 3,000 years and was started by the aztec tribes. They honored those who had died ; thinking they would come back during the monthlong. However, when the spainards came to the americas they disagreed with the ritual and tried to stop it, but failed. It it celebrated in Mexico, North and South America, but wherever you go, day of the dead is celabrated differently.

2. I have celebrated day of the dead so my reaction was not that big.

3. I think it counts to class because we are learning about the americas and how the spainards began to take over. This relates to the idea the atzec tradtions did not die down/ or stop because of the spainards.
