Hundreds of bats called this set of caves home. Cueva de Ambrosio once was used as a refuge by escaped slaves. The cave stretches over 300 meters with may different passages and chambers.

Miranda wandered away and found ancient pictographs. She believes they may be from prehistoric times with 5 interconnected galleries she counted a total of 72 aboriginal rupestrian rock drawings that are representative of the Taino culture 2000 years ago

About a quarter-mile down the beach was an open-air restaurant where vistors could have a drink and watch the action.

Matanzas is about one hour away from Varadero by bus.

We love Cuba, but not every sidewalk was maintained to perfection. When residing in Cuba, one must always keep alert.

Bryan led us to the Casino Espanol, where the first performance of a famous danzonete was held. However, as he stepped inside he found that it had been converted to the Biblioteca Gener y Del Monte.

bay of pigs in playa larga
You can visit Playa Larga and Playa Giron where invasion took place.. there is a nice spot called villa guama which is beautiful near the bay of pigs, playa larga hotel right there where invasion took place and Playa Giron hotel as well.. the road by the caribbean sea is just beautiful.. eat at cueva de los peces where a tectonic fault conforms a nice natural pool.. for hotels check http://www.CubaTravelHotels.com and click hotels above

I have to say as a U.S. citizen I am very envious that you can go to cuba! what a great country to explore! ( Not all of us are like what our gov't projects to the world! ) Happy travels!!
