This is our fourth trip to Montezuma staying at Luna Llena with one very big difference. This year Laura is in an air cast for four weeks while in Costa Rica and so her movement is limited. In years past, we would be up and out the door by 6:00 a.m. to walk and bird for two to three hours.

Last year we had discovered a road above Luna Llena we really enjoyed; very few other people were seen and some great birding and some wildlife. This year the road is too steep for Laura to make the climb so no go on that. The waterfall hike is also out because you clamber over rocks.

So this year we walk into town, around town and walk up to the kitchen and commons area at Luna Llena but much more in the uphill climbing is out of the question. Have done some walking for about 30 minutes....then Laura sits and waits and Robert continues on further.

We have done some exercises and yoga outside our room to help get a little exercise. Nonetheless, we have been able to enjoy the beautiful scenery that is everywhere you look in Montezuma. The nice beaches, gentle breezes and sounds of the crashing waves are all great to see and hear!
