It seems like ages ago that we were driving 12 hour days in our race to get to Mexico...apparently the Samurai has found a new owner.
Merry Christmas to everyone. I am in Playa del Coco right now with Jordan, Jason, Devon, Michelle, Danielle, Mike from London and John from the U.S. Me, Jas and John got here on the 23rd and were quickly finding out that it would be extremely diffcult to get a place to stay after the 26th...apparently this place is going to be crazy on New Year's Eve. Anyway, after staying in a lady's house/hostel type thing with dogs, roosters, chickens and all, we ended up finding a studio in the same complex as Jord and co. Not as cheap as we would like, but we have it for the week and well, it's good to be staying somewhere nice for the holidays. We had an amazing Christmas, and the food - pancakes, bacon, baked goods from Vancouver, chicken, wine, stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, and a chocolate covered browny with bananas - was easily the best of the trip so far. It actually feels like I am on vacation from backpacking if that is possible....biding my time and relaxing until we head to South America. We are hoping to be leaving Panama for South America by January 5th (around that time), to

give us more time in Peru et al. Anyway, I finally got a card reader, so I am mainly taking this opportunity to upload some pictures from some of the highlights of the trip so far.
