Costa Rica - again...

After a few months working on the boat, it turned out not to be the job I was hoping for. While I loved being at sea, it was just a pretty boat with cool toys and research capabilities, not a true research vessel.

Shortly after leaving the boat I went back to Costa Rica, of course. Here are some photos.

This is what happens when the guy who owns the property on the hill above you builds a road by putting in poorly built dams. It really was this bad.

After a few hours the water level started to drop and you could see where the pool and landscapes were.

Part way through the clean-up - we were shoveling the mud from the pool. The hot tub was filled to the top with rocks!
