This is the canal we took into tortuguero. We were the only tourists on this ride.
Hello everyone. We have arrived in Tortuguero. This place is pretty amazing, packed with wildlife and water all around. We had to take a one hour boat ride along a canel and a river just to get to a village that only has about 30 house and is only about 1km long. The boat ride in was funny. we went the cheap way, the way the locals go and we were the only tourists on the boat, very funny. Today we went on a canoe tour at 6 in the morning and saw a crocodile, two different kinds of monkeys, birds, turtles, and a toucan. Yesterday after we arrived we went for a walk on the beach and saw two baby leather back turtles. You have to go everywhere by boat and there is lots of fishing. We went on a hike also today and saw a dart frog, the poison ones and got a good picture of the town, the caribbean and the valley. We will up date our blog with pictures when we get down to cahuita in acouple of days. Tomorrow we leave at 10 in the morning to go to Cahuita. The boat ride is about 3

Glad to hear things are going good
Things sound like they are going great there, things here are the same. I have a speech due next week and then finals after that. Spike has lost some weight and Carol is seems pretty happy, though he hasn't come out of hiding for a few days. Josh and I will be missing you two on Thanksgiving. Well ta ta. P.S. Lindsay I tried to email you again and it tells me that the emails aren't going through. I'll keep trying. ;)

Welcome to water world
The picture of you two in the canoe is a keeper. You look very happy and relaxed. From the looks down main street Tortuguero, there's a great opportunity to open up a Starbucks there. By the way, since I've been looking at Costa Rican websites, I'm getting all sorts of solicitations to purchase Costa Rican vacation property. Let me know if you find anything you like. Had any good rice or beans lately? Hope you are well and well. Regards, Edwardo
