sugar plantation
One of the many machines used to make sugar juice from the sugar cane Last night after the coffee tour I met up with Thomas from Holland and we had a few drinks at the Tree house restuarant. Some how they build this place around a massive tree and the restuarant sits up on the tree like a tree house. Very cool but also very expensive. Drinks were about $5 but they were good.
I got the Mojito but then saw the Tree house mojito which they basically make it into a pretty lavish drink. We met these 6 girls from England and they were travelling up to Nica and Thomas had only good things to say about it too so I am convince my next stop will be to Nicaragua.
One of the girls called Charlotte Bradshaw (sounds like sex in the city chica) wanted to have her birthday in Granada and wanted us to meet them up there for some heavy drinking. I had already booked my ticket to La Fantuna to head up to the hot springs and Volcano Arenal so I would try to meet them on Monday possibly.
Thomas wasn´t liking too much of CR and wanted to go back to Nica but I think he is
sugar
I made this during the end of the tour - coconut with peanut and sugar. heading to the west and we would meet up somehow in a few days. I had forgotten I was suppose to meet Marianne and her brother in Nica. She had been sick for the past 4 days and was stuck in San Jose. Maybe I will get them to meet me in Granada.
The night ended off with some heavy drinking at my first local bar. I always joked around and would ask people in spanish Andone hay un disco tech....but last night I was actually in one. Bars here are quite different. There is the local dog wondering around the dance floor and most of the patrons are made up of travelors and locals and also staff that work around town.
The music is mostly salsa and some crappy techno of course. After departing with Charlotte and her friends and to Thomas I made my way to bed and for the 2nd day still couldn´t figure out how to use the hot shower. I am convinced the shower is broken so I sneaked into another room and showered.
The next day I was abit hungover and forgot my zip trek was in the morning. I booked
mojito
Mojitos at tree house cafe it out of bed and barely made it to the shuttle.
Zip trek or canopy tour is well worth it here. It´s $40 and there´s about 15 platform and one Tarazan swing.
I just realize the face I make when I eat something super sour is the same face when I am about to crap my pants swinging down the Tarazan swing. It is basically a vertical drop and swing from high up.
Of course the camera had to catch me scared like a little school girl holding on to dear life. The canpopy tour ended with a very long 800 M zip across some beautiful cloud forest which was awesome.
I guess the vertico must of cancelled out my hangover.
So the plan now is to catch the 4x4 that I have booked to take me to La Fatuna and chill there a day or 2 and then go up to Nica.
