hey, it's a 2005! That's a step up for us.
We spent a few days searching for a car. Kilon and I were undecided on the exact model etc. We were told to NEVER trust the odometer. Look for paint and body work to be an indication the car had been involved in a wreck (from witnessing the driving I’d say a good portion have been involved in an accident). We were originally looking at Honda CRVs and Toyota RAV4s. The CRV and RAV4 were too low to the ground for our purposes. After looking at 20+ cars we decided on the 2005 Toyota Prado Land Cruiser (2 door). We based our choice on the short wheel base, 4x4 capabilities, reasonable gas mileage, low mileage (30,000), and clearance. The vehicle has all the Toyota service records and it was a one owner. We also get the remainder of the Toyota warranty for the vehicle. We had someone assisting us with the purchase which made the buying process relatively simple. After agreeing on a price we returned the following morning to meet with the attorney to complete the transfer of money and paperwork. We had to go into San Jose to pick up a programable "clicker" for the car alarm. The insurance

We actually had an ant invasion in this vehicle so I was glad to say good-bye!
agent met us there and we were insured within an hour. The entire purchase process took 3 hours (not too shabby). It's nice to own a car again.
