"our " puppy
This puppy hangs around the apartments with her brother and is just too cute! We have decided to stay on here for another day....it's relaxing and friendly place to be! And, as you can tell by now, a hard place to leave...
Today we took a boat trip to another part of the reef and then on to Ambergis Caye..this island is really built up now..full of cars and people (50 thousand in the main town) and shops and hotels...It's much nicer here!
Snorkeling today was good..we saw a giant "ball" of fish all swimming together.. a moray eel, a giant lobster, and spiny black sea urchins..along with the usual colorful fish and coral.
We've been watching some of the local TV programing, and we're really impressed with the initiatives to bring tourism and protect the environment...
It rained really hard off and on again yesterday..and we got caught in storm at dinner..but just waited it out and rode our bikes home dry!
The next day: We rented kayaks today and went to look for crocodiles on the less inhabited part of the island. We didn't see any....but did see some herons and lots of baby fish. We came to cleared area were they are selling building lots for $13,000
Our hotel
$30 a night gets you a lot here! each...
All for now,
Lynn and Bill

Lots for Sale, you say?
Looks like fun! What an adventure! Lots for Sale, you say? How big? Any waterfront lots? Yes, please buy some so we can come visit. Hey! I am an adult and I did not know that Mangrove trees grew in salt water... Would they be good in Michigan, as our parking strips get loaded with salt from the wintery roads? Lynn... some guy in a white hat seems to be following you? Be careful...! Later! Have fun! Love, SC
