Las Vegas, Nevada is neither heaven nor hell, though she could be considered a monument to either. My hatred for this city is second only to my love for her. The famous Las Vegas strip in the hot, late, afternoon can prove to be lachrymose when the summer heat beats down on human flesh. When the surrounding city around the strip has topped off at 112 degrees, the temperature on the strip can be 120 degrees or more. Hot, idling cars packed closely together on Las Vegas Blvd. Thousands of fat-assed tourists pumping out body heat, and blinding sun bouncing off the hotel windows contribute to the temperature fluctuation.
