Thanks for sharing. What a great adventure, so glad you are doing this! I have been dreaming of travel, but keep waiting u til it feels safer. Food and wine, ships and old cities, what fun! In the avignon shot, do i recognize that scarf? Love to you both from sunny southern costa rica. Xxoo
Coming Home How I have enjoyed your blogs! They have brought back great memories of the many trips Ben & I had made in our 34 years of marriage. We were at Bryce Canyon the 1st week of January 1989 with an Elderhostel group and traveled around that whole area. With the red rock, green trees, blue skies and white snow covering the ground...it was beautiful! Glad I was able to make it to the family get-to-gether to enjoy your narration with your slide show.
Good Job! Well done! Dottie
Coming Home I have really enjoyed all your blogs and am excited to see you on the 18th. I became a great gramma on the 13th for the 7th time....all boys!
Stairmaster Hi Ling, let's just say being on the 12th deck when most places we wanted to go to were on the 2nd never made us feel like we had to go to the gym. John thinks he actually lost weight on the voyage.
Formal dress Both of you look very very nice in your formal wear!!!!
Oh yes, I remember you saying one time that when you take a cruise, you never use the lifts but that you walk up and down the stairs instead. So, was being on the 12th deck a good or bad thing???
Love it! I love how descriptive you were with the wind, and I can just imagine you and John laying there and laughing with the incredible wind. Love you.
John's beard Jessica and Mathew think that John's beard looks awesome!! He should keep it all the time - of course they do have their father as an example to love beards and mustaches.
Hiking! Sounds like you had a great time on your vacation from your year-long vacation!
Chris & I have just started training for Kilimanjaro - yesterday we hiked Barr Trail to the A-frame and back (14 miles) and my feet are sore! I can't imagine hiking this kind of distance every day for a month! I need hiking tips from you when you get back!
Also, love the sunrise!
Favorite Town Dear Mean Uncle Pete, I enjoyed nearly all the places the Camino passed through, but the first one that comes to mind that I felt like I didn't spend enough time in was Astorga. It had a beautiful cathedral and a Gaudi castle that I wasn't able to see when I was there. And the town is also known for its many chocolate shops.
Dear Traveling feet We've just discovered your blog today. I'm looking forward to reading several of your entries. Looks like you are having a great trip. We love Greece. One of our favorites places.
Mountain man!! I have never seen John in a beard. Is he going to keep it for long? Maybe he can keep it until we see you in June? I am glad you are traveling together again. Hope you are enjoying Ireland. Love you both.
