ntipodean trip - sorry pressed send by mistake I think - you seem to be having more rsin than we did, though. I have lovely memories of dozing in the hot sun on the beach at Hahei on the East coast of the Coramandel, and the day we did the Tongariro crossing was magic - but they kept telling us how you can have all 4 seasons in one day. Where are you going next - assuming you get replacement keys before too long? Also - club dinner, Feb 29th - will you be back?? Best wishes for 2008 from Denise and Eric in damp Reading

Beach behaviour...
It's an asian/western thing - what's an acceptable level of skin? Here's a comment from an asian visitor to lamma: "Tourists were moving around the island like worms and the only thing that struck my eyes were caucasians wearing bikinis. wohoo! Travelling around to look at volcanoes over the last few years, but also for any other rocks and a few tourist type things on the way. Amongst other souvenirs of my trips, I seem to have picked up a wife (from the USA, although we met in the South Pacific), which has changed the style of my trips, although I still enjoy them. A regular orienteer in the UK and an active Scout Leader for at least 4 decades. Note that due to limited times to access the Internet, this log will get weeks, or maybe months behind at times.
