nice... dude, the thavorn! i stayed there 4 years ago on my second trip to thailand (on my first trip to koh phi phi). fun place... lots of character, eh? and by that i mean i remember the lobby being darkly lit and having a ton of wood molding / lots of thai paraphernalia hanging up everwhere. wonder if it's still like that. -- so, last day for me here before i head out to BKK tomorrow. (always fun to sit here and try to pack for a month...)
keep equalizing that ear!

Well since my kid isn't too good on the communication end of things it was great to read your blog and see my son Frazer a part of it. Not quite sure the round about way of getting this - but it's great. Can you add me to your blog dee_elliott@yahoo.com

Lunch Hey Dave,
Lunch looks good. Glad you made it safe and sound to your first destination. Sounds like you are off to a good start meeting friendly Canadians and cheap lunches. Loved your digs in Bankok. God speed.

excursion of a lifetime I've found that it is extremely difficult to leave behind a secure job as well as a safe environment to take off traveling across the world, however, I've also found that my times abroad (although difficult and joyful at the same time)have given me the opportunity of a lifetime to see God at work in my life, to see His amazing creation, and to revel in the beauty around me. I quit my teaching job to teach overseas, and then decided to backpack through Europe! It was worth it! I hope that you have fabulous travels:)

This blog began with my 9 week adventure through SE Asia in 2006. That initial leap into the unknown led to many other life-changing decisions, the largest of which involved moving overseas. After living in America for my entire life, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand on June 30, 2007.
The blog continues as I share about living in Thailand, and traveling, primarily within SE Asia.
