Impressive I am impressed with your writing. I thoroughly enjoyed your blogs on travel in the Philippines. You include all the things most travelers want to hear about. Brilliant!
so does this change your opinion of your move? with everything thats happened in the last few weeks/months, do you still think you made the right choice? (dropping everything and going to Asia)
Amazing... Foiling Malaysian muggers, followed by amphibious landings on Boracay... Just another day for Diamond Dave. Any word on the job search?

Philippines I will be praying for your teaching job. After reading your blog I was thinking back to my trip in college to the philippines. I know your trip will be better than mine. All I remember was eating dried salty fish and then getting very sick. I look forward to hearing more about your journey ahead. The Klopper
Your a brave soul....street vendor and eating are not to be associated.
Keep up the blog. I usually check in once a week. Glad all is well and tell Saai hello.
Your new closing should be There gone Dave.
Experience of a Lifetime Dave, this article sounded a little more like a tourist than a resident, so I assume you've just made your move. There are no words to describe the spiritual side of living in Thailand and learning the Thai ways. I lived there for eight years and my dream is to return one day. As a resident, you should explore the less touristy parts of the country. I highly recommend Isaan. The northeastern people are the gentlest and most hospitable. If you visit in an Isaan home, you will be served food. It is best to ask no questions on those occasions. The best way to visit Isaan is to go with a friend who is from there. I envy all the neat experiences you will be having.
Dave:
We're going to miss you a lot - especially me, with you being a UCLA Bruin fan and all... Chris will definitely have to get you hooked up with that TV feed in Thailand so you can keep up with the happenings... Good luck and have fun!!!
Wow that's cool you're moving to Thailand.
I thought that you're moving to India. Your girlfrind is Indian, doesn't she?
Ooop,I'm sorry I misunderstand .she's Thai. :-p
This blog began with my 9 week adventure through SE Asia in 2006. That initial leap into the unknown led to many other life-changing decisions, the largest of which involved moving overseas. After living in America for my entire life, I moved to Bangkok, Thailand on June 30, 2007.
The blog continues as I share about living in Thailand, and traveling, primarily within SE Asia.

Philippines... why not?
There's a lot of new call centers in the Philippines. Maybe they need someone to conduct American Accent training?
