Home sweet home thanks for the good thoughts, Katie -- i've actually been through Alberta, tho' not on a bike -- maybe next time we'll fly to Regina then drive west, to finish in BC -- I'm a big fan of marathon road trips, going anywhere!

Home sweet home Sounds like quite the adventure! Maybe I didn't go back quite far enough but why stop in Saskatchewan and turn around? Alberta is so beautiful! I love reading about travel through my home country of northern Ontario. The restaurant in Wawa: kinniwabi pines? The people are very friendly. Hope the rest of your vacation is/was eventful!
Happy Birthday Sis Happy Birthday Panna.
I had a great day. Hope you did too. Mom gave me a toy and treats and more treats. I just had to kill the squeeky! Papa and Nana were over to my house along with Tanner, Uncle Ken and Auntie Sharron for a party. Mom made a tuna loaf birthday cake. It was really good. Tanner and I hoovered our servings and asked for more.
It sounds as if you are having a good time seeing Canada.
Hugs to all,
Cedar (and Jane)
ouch that is one hot day, for sitting still even! I can't imagine walking the distance you did! hope you got to enjoy some well deserved air conditioning after.......

Hi Leah, just to let you know Leslie sent me the link to your travel blog a couple of weeks ago and I check for new entries daily. I really enjoy reading your stories. This is quite an experience and one I'm sure you will never forget. Keep safe and may you succeed in accomplishing your goal.
She who names inanimate objects... Hee hee, so now everyone knows your secret, Mom... everything has its own given name! I knew you named your cars and the trucks and the van, but I didn't know about the bikes. Well, whatever works for you... :)
Hey Leah!!!!
Good to hear you're well on your way. Though a bit circuitous, and brown.
Happy Canada Day! You're certainly out and about in it (Canada, that is)

Hi there -- this is the first time I've tried anything like this -- hope it will work & that I can keep it up once we start on the Super60 Cycle Tour.
Last December (2006) I turned 60 & wanted to do something to commemorate the occasion. So what I plan to do is cycle 60 kilometres/day for 60 days.
We'll start out in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, heading east, and will probably finish in Western Quebec, or possibly Eastern Ontario, trying to use the TransCanada Trail as much as possible. I'm hoping that through this blog my friends & family will be able to keep track of what I'm doing -- also... full info
