just catching up Wow! what a trip. it looks amazing. I've been reading the last few blogs and teaching the kids - so cool. We just returned from Jenny's wedding it was great - lots of sun and sand and carib. water. Maclean went parasailing - maybe he he will follow in your footsteps and be off around the world in a few years. I'm glad the guide/driver didn't strand you. Take care of your foot.
Oh my Hello, I'm glad Thi is modern. The trip continues to look amazing. We just returned from Jenny's wedding in sunny and hot CUBA. It was lots of fun. Maclean went parasailing - maybe he will follow in your foot steps one day. Those buddah's look neat. Have you bought any? The picture of the elephants is soo cool. Keep well and take care of your foot.
hehe "Evan, you have got one helluva talent for Travel Journalism. Good writing and fantastic photos!"
If that was Evan's writing, then Ms. Churchill-Cook must have severely understimated his English talents =P
wat do you do for an angkor..? Your blog and travels are amazing guys. Description of Siem Reap and pics of Angkor Wat the stuff of fantasy. Following you with great interest - keep it up and stay safe. Unca Mike.
You two are so close to us! (kind of...) Hey Ev, and Sarah...Thailand is really not too far from Oz...so many travellers that we have met here are going to Thailand at the end of their trip, wish I could do the same. If you think Thailand is expensive, NEVER come to Australia! I wish I could spend only $3/night to sleep, thats amazing..the cheapest we've found here is $15/night. wow, and the food must me AMAZING...i love Thai food so much...and I don't think 'My Thai' in Hamilton comes close to what you two are enjoying. ugh, im so jealous....not that im not having the time of my life over here. we are in sydney right now, again. done the east coast of australia....heading to Fiji in a couple of weeks, then home to d-das in may. aaahhh....anyways enjoy yourselves...the pics are amazing
cheers! kayla
You've definitely got a knack for journalism! Hey guys! Fantastic vicarious experience! I feel like I just visited the far-east! Evan, you have got one helluva talent for Travel Journalism. Good writing and fantastic photos! There's an artistic edge to some of those shots that would attract professional attention.
I'm glad to see you haven't got your Dad's food hangups. He'd be dead of starvation after the first week!
Way-to-go Sarah for eating the grasshopper! I've eaten them too. Not too impressed with the eyes. Too hard. And the wings just get stuck between your teeth.
Hope your foot feels better. Have fun guys!
Let's go out for some chow when you get back.
dundas youths enter land 'o monkeys Sare and Ev - those Buddha figures are the most amazing I think I've ever seen...such beautiful ancient relics. Nice quiet oasis there before bustling Bankok. Great blog. Take care, Paw.
tEACHING lOVE YA BLOGS!
PLease can you tell me how you were able to help teach in a school? I am a teacher and would love to do this. Thanks.

monkey business Well, sounds as if you two have been fending off delinquent, theiving monkeys and young men named Boom looking for young Canadian women to hook up with and perhaps a ticket to Canada. So, which one of you two got bitten by these ill tempered monkeys.Reminds me of the time the deer surrounded Evan at Marine Land when he was three and we couldn't escape. Sounds a bit scary. Watch out for those "ladyboys, have heard some gruesome stories about these types of individuals. hope Sarah is up and back to normal and look forward to hearing from you when you reach Bangkok, Love from all in G-ville
hey you two! Wow you guys must feel right at home with all of those 7-11s around!! If you ever have a craving for good old fashioned alldressed chips you know where to go! But then again they probably have differents flavours in Thailland like say.. Thai?... haha that story of the monkeys made me laugh, especially the part about one of them stealing your pins sarah. You really seem to be a target for snatchers half your size. Its cool that your meeting some true Thai people and learning magic tricks at that!Anyways- have fun and i hope you foot is better sar!
Wat me worry... Hi Sare and Ev!! Really like the pic of Ev on the elephant...very colonial with the hat...very Bob Hope. Nicely done Ev. I'm sure I'd get vertigo up there. Sare youre looking great - and hear the gout is on the mend. (...that was not gout by the way). Cooking pix are exclnt! - wonderful idea to take the classes - save the g'hoppers for Zoe. Call on the weekend? CY.
where there's music, there's Evan Terrific pics you two. So was this bar Thailands' answer to the Underground. I admire how you can always wrangle your way on stage somehow Evan. Always where the action is. Did Thailand get a taste of the hits of Quarter Session ?It certainly looks as though you're surrounded by friendly faces and abundance of culinary delights, even Sarah's pad thai, without the nuts of course.(sorry , had to say it). Love the picture of you on the very photogenic smiling elephant. Paddy says ith looks like he posed for the picture. Keep the info and pictures coming, we've learned so much as you continue on your journey. Hope Sarah's foot is mending and take care of each other. Love from all.mom
Old man feet eh Hey guys, hope your enjoyin your trip so far. I lovin your pictures of everything and I hope sarahs camera doesn't get punked too... Its pretty sweet that a bunch of us are all branching out and going on sick trips and work vacations and even though the good old Greensville is sweet.... it really just doesn't compare. Thats awesome that you got to rock out with a thai reggae band, that musta been pretty damn sweet. Only wish I were there top pick up an axe or bust out a deck and add to the beat. Anyways have a good one guys and i'll see you back in town in a few months......
Peace
Yummy! Sarah, I can't wait for you to demonstrate some of your new culinary talents! I will however pass on the grasshoppers. Good luck with your next bus trip to Sukhothai!
yo hey guys, glad to see that you're still having a blast. congrats to sarah on getting gout, good to see that it's not just for eighteenth century old men anymore, way to diversify. well at least you can see again. love the pics, keep 'em comin.
Wow! Hey Ev (and Sarah). I am amazed by your pictures and fascinated by your stories. It sounds like you are having the time of your lives. What an incredible opportunity! I'm sorry to hear about Sarah's gout - that can't be too comfortable. I hope you plan on sharing all of your photos when you return - I have to live vicariously through someone.
Take care and enjoy. I look forward to you next entries.
