My family had taken a Mount Blanc tour with Gap Adventures this past summer. The guide was a young fellow who had poor command of French and had no knowledge of the area we were hiking. In the advertisemnt it states that the guide is knowledgable of the area. We required an emergency air-lift off the mountain and at that point realized that our guide had no satellite phone. Thanks to other hikers we were able to get my daughter off the mountain and to a hospital in France. Gap hasn't seen fit to contact our family or address questions of protocol regarding a medical emergency. During our stay at hospital no rep. contacted us and the guides lack of French caused considerable grief when trying to maintain contact with the group. We were fortunate
