Love your blogs Ruth, you capture our memories so elequently. I do agree, we spent as much time looking at the Cistine Chapel and Vatican as we did looking for each other. Still amazed at all we saw and did that day including enjoying a wonderful lunch!

Florence Florence is one of my favorite places in Italy. If you go back, definitely go shopping, and sample some of the most delicious gelato you'll ever eat. The "riso" flavor is especially delicious! The Uffizi galleries are phenomenal as well. Of course, one must make a trip to Fiesole, the hill town just above Florence where the air is cooler, and the view phenomenal. I'm so glad you're enjoying your trip so much.
