Seashell Hotel Your pictures were beautiful!!! Can't wait to talk to you in person about this trip. Enjoy!! Sounds like you have a great Thanksgiving too. LOL
What a week-end!! Erin, you are so adventurous!!! I would have been so afraid. You are really seeing some beautiful places and some unusual creatures. Were you on the trip the whole time by yourself?
I really enjoy reading your entries. Love ya Grandma
It looks like you has a lot of fun on your trip, but I want to hear about your journey getting there, it sounds crazy! And that is a huge spider! I would have freaked out!!!
Miss you <3
Sounds like fun and a real adventure, although I don't know how much tranquility i would have felt under the same circumstances. I would have loved to to see those dark skies!
Back home once again Hi, Erin. Well, I just finished writing this a few seconds ago and instead of hitting 'submit comment' I X'd out!!! So I will try again. We just got back last night from Bella Vista, Arkansas and we had a wonderful time. Saw some very pretty country. How are things in Dakar this time around? I know you are pretty busy with school and all. When you can, write and tell us everything you have been doing, I love to hear about your adventures. Love ya, Grandma
Hi from Hilton Head, South Carolina Erin: Not sure where you are at the moment. We are at a time-share on the beach and another next week at Myrtle Beach, SC. It has been sunny but very cool at the moment. Snow in VT tonite with possibly a major winter storm--awfully early!!
We hope all is well with you. Sounds like you are really enjoying the experience. That's great. You are seeing or have seen so much of the country. Will be anxious to hear more when you get back home. Take care. Love ya, Grandpa and Mary
Hi once again. Sounds like you are having a great time. How are your studies going? And did you ever get the polish off your toes? ha I love hearing from you. Love ya
Yeah photos! Hi dear! I loved the photos. I cannot believe it is so green! THank you for sending this along. I don't think I would have had a polite reaction if I had been served a fish with teeth!!!! Ya'll are having such a unique insight into life!!!
Hello again!!! Hi, Erin, hope all is going well in St. Louis. How was the bus trip there? All is well here, our weather is perfect!!! Write when you have time and tell all. ha Grandma
Good morning Erin!!!! Dear Erin: Finally getting to do what we should have done earlier i.e. write to you. We are glad that you are content there and things are going well. The pix of the city look unlike many other African or regional cities i.e the buildings, etc. You girls sure look happy basking in the sun--enjoy all you can. What courses will you be taking? Special projects? etc. Are you living where meals are provided or are you on your own?
We've been busy. Now in VT. Came up here last Friday for your great uncle Donald's funeral. Over 100 years and his mind was perefect until the end. What a guy. Well known in mathematic circles as an author of college math texts and the first to institute a college course in the computer many moons ago.
Leafs begining to turn. Days getting shorter and cooler nights but really a beautiful time of year.
Am in contact with your folks re: Julie who is supposed to be home today for the weekend. Take care and be careful. Love, G and M
We aren't in Kansas anymore Fascinating. I would really like to see some pictures to help enhance my appreciation of your description. I have enjoyed zooming down onto Dakar with Google Earth. I think I found Goree and the University. Fun!
I am a senior at Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin. This fall I will be studying in Senegal until mid December and then visiting old friends in Europe until January.... full info
