MK---- I think y'all are being a little too trusting of others --- Do you see the way that man is looking at Eliza in pic # 0384 ? It's slightly scary for her mother.
Y'all PLEASE go to a hostel and quit this camping out in the open for any crazy to come along.
Skype & Tgiving SEES! Love the blog, awesome update...soooo funny! It was great getting to see you on Skype, we need to do that again soon!!! I will dig my cam out and have it ready to set up. We really did miss ya'll on Thanksgiving, but you and Eliza both look so great, and like you are having such amazing adventures! The food was soo good, and I missed the lazy snuggling too :) We cried a little bit after we hung up on Skype, just because. It's hard to imagine ya'll are so far away, but I'm really so proud of you!!! I love you, stay safe! Hugs to you and E both!! xoxo
Loving Your Entries! MK- Morgan gave me the link to your blog. I can't believe you are actually doing this. How in the world did you prepare for this trip? I'm in awe!!! Your pictures are beautiful. You need to post one of Karlene Jean. I can only imagine what a beaut she is. Take care. Can't wait to read more of your adventures.
kauri/great posts Agathis australis, commonly known as the kauri, is a coniferous tree found north of 38°S in the northern districts of New Zealand's North Island. It is the largest (by volume) but not tallest species of tree in New Zealand, standing up to 50m tall in the emergent layer above the forest's main canopy. The tree has smooth bark and small oval leaves. Other common names to distinguish A. australis from other members of the genus are southern kauri and New Zealand kauri.
Though kauri are among the most ancient trees in the world, they have developed a unique niche in the forest. With their novel soil interaction and regeneration pattern they are able to compete with the more recently evolved and faster growing angiosperms. Because it is such a conspicuous species, forest containing kauri is generally known as kauri forest, though kauri need not be the most abundant tree. In the warmer northern climate, kauri forests have a higher species richness than others found further south.
ROFLMAO!!! Ok - I am finally able to take time to read this. I am cracking up, but deep inside slightly concerned. Am I reading this right in that you, Eliza and NOAM are going to buy a van to live in TOGETHER???? You don't know him - please don't do this. OH MY - I am not your mother and I am freaking out.
Adventures! Tuh tuh...you are going to give mom a heart attack (and Linda too!), but I do love hearing these stories, knowing you as I do, I get really cracked up and even teared up thinking about how much fun you are having and what a wonderful, wonderful experience this is for both of you girls! Yes, I am jealous, so now that you have a new netbook (YAY!), send us some pics!! LOVE YOU, BE SAFE!! XOXO
OH SISTER...LOL! SEESY! I am laughing so hard, I can only imagine you two packed up in Karlene Jean...hahaha, and those of us that don't know our family may not realize that naming a car is imperative! I can feel you on the driving on opposite, when we lived in Japan, we had a STICK shift hatchback..and you got it, shift on the opposite side, it was so crazy. For months after I got back I turned on the wipers for the blinker, etc. you'll get used to it and then have to adjust when you get back. So glad ya'll are having such adventures, thanks for keeping us updated. We love it, and we love you! Although I may have to kidnap (or drug) Linda and Mom so they won't come over there to hunt ya'll down...LOL! BE SAFE. XOXO
What fun!! Am enjoying your blog--Linda sent it. Tell E hi for me. Look forward to meeting you some day, MK! Have fun, take it all in, but be ever vigilant. I couldn't help that last bit--I'm a mom. Love, Sue
I needed a laugh! Mary Kathryn-I just knew your blog would be entertaining. I am not sure if i will be able to stand the suspense in between the blogs! You must find a job ASAP so you can afford a netbook! Will you be able to blog more frequently if you have a netbook? Maybe we need to start a "buy MK a netbook" fund! Glad you are there safely! Love ya, Liz(and Chip and Elizabeth and Mary Faser and of course-Felton!)
Me too!! I totally understand the two names and introducing yourself as one name and later give your "real" name. But I give Ryan first and then later give them R.P. :).
Please take pictures of the camping around the car. Can't wait to see the Beaut!!!
Glad to see you both made it safely!! I love reading about all of your adventures and can not wait for more to come! P.S. - I am hoping you picked the van!
